Alana's garlic bread sticks

1 Tbl Yeast
1 1/2 c warm water
2 T sugar
3 1/2 C flour
1/2/tsp. salt
Mix yeast in warm water with sugar, set aside and let dissolvePut flour and salt in bowl and then add yeast mixture. Knead for 3 minutes, let rest for 10 minutes. Coat a large jelly roll pan with cooking spray and press dough out to edges until the dough is covering the pan. It will be thin. Spread the following topping on the dough.

1/4/ c soft butter
1/4 c parmesean
1/4 c mayo (not miracle whip!)
1/2 tsp garlic salt (i use a little more)

blend together and spread over bread. Use a pizza cutter to score the dough into stiprs and then cut down the center lenghwise. Let dough rise till doubled about 15 min. I sprinkle a little extra parmesean over all the dough, then bake at 350 for 20-25 min.

Sweet Chex snacks

6 cups rice chex (half box)
6 cups honey grahams
1 c coconut
1 c sliced almonds
1 c cashews or peanuts
Mix together

3/4 c margarine
3/4 c sugar
1 c Karo

Mix and boil for 3-4 min, pour over cereal and mix well. Pour out onto waxed paper. when cool break into pieces

The Best Grape Salad -ever

Nice size bowl full of red grapes, taken off stem and washed. Let drain

1 pkg of cream cheese
1 jar of marshmellow cream

Mix together and then fold grapes in until thouroughly mixed

Enjoy!

Banana Cake

2/3 c butter
1 1/2 c sugar
2 eggs
1 cup mashed banana
1 c nuts
1 2/3 c flour
4 Tbl. milk
1 tsp soda
1/4 tst salt

Bake at 350 for 40 minutes

No Bake Cookies

1 cube margarine
2 c sugar
1/2 c milk
2 T. peanut butter
1 tsp. vanilla
2 Tbl. cocoa
3 c oatmeal

Boil sugar, butter, milk, peanut butter, for 1 min. Add vanilla, cocoa, and oats. Drop by teasponful onto wax paper

Peanut Brittle

2 C sugar
1 C Karo syrup
1 T shortning or butter
1/2 c water
1/8 tsp salt
2 c raw peanuts

Stir and mix together, microwave on ghihg for 5 minutes the stir. 3 min more, stir, 2 min more stir, 3 min more, stir. Stir in a scant 1 T soda and 1 T vanilla then add nuts and pour into greased jelly roll pan, let cool

Chinese Noodle Casserole

1 c chopped celery
1/2 c chopped oinion
1 c chopped cashews
1/4 c water
1 medium can chinese noodles (or bag)
1 c chopped chicken
1 can cream or chicken or mushroom soup

mix well, put half of noodles on top, the other half in layers alternated with casserole mixture.
Bake at 350 for 30 min.

Cheese Soup

1 pkg frozen peas and carrotts
1 small stalk celery
1/2 lb margarine
flour to thicken
1 lg bottle of Kraft Cheez Whiz (1 1/2 c)
2 qt. water
12 cubes chicken boullion
1 diced onion
2-3 potatoes diced

Boil vegetables till tender. Warm Cheez Whiz so it will be easy to pour. Boil water and boullion. Melt butter and add flour to make a white sauce. add to water and add cheez whiz, then add cooked veggies

Apricot Bars

3/4 C Margarine
1 C. sugar
1 egg
2 C flour
1/4 tsp. baking powder
1 1/3 C coconut (or oats)
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 12 oz jar apricot preserves

Cream butter and sugar, add eff. In seperate bowl mix flour and b. powder. Add coconut, walnuts, and vanilla. Press 2/3 of the dough in 9x13. Pread preserves and crumble remaining dough on top. Bake 350 for 30-35 min.

Soft Caramel Popcorn

1 C white sugar
1 C brown sugar
1 C light Karo syrup
1 C real butter
1 tbs. water

Bring to boil till the soft ball stage and add:

1/2 can of sweetened condensed milk

Then pour over large bowl of popped corn and get fat.

Grandma Marrott's Brownies

1 C Sugar
2/3 C Cold water
2/4 C Cocoa
Bring to boil on the stove

Mix together:
2 C sugar
6 Eggs
2 Cubes Butter

Then add the cooled cocoa mixture and:
1/2 t. salt
1 t. vanilla
2 3/4 cup Flour
Makes a large sheet cake size
Bake at 350 for 20 min--don't overbake!

Frost with your favorite chocolate icing!
